The Realme U1 Will Be The First Smartphone To Offer A Helio P70 Chipset
Realme has reported that they will offer the worldβs first smartphone that comes with a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC, in the form of the new Realme U1. The new chipset is an octa-core processer thatβs based on TSMC 12-nanometre FinFET process.
With the new chipset, it reduces power consumption by 15% compared to the previous 14nm process. Adding to that, it features an octa-core architecture with four Cortex-A53 high-efficiency cores and four Cortex-A73 high-performance cores for a maximum clock speed of 2.1GHz.
In graphic aspects, it is equipped with a 900MHz ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, resulting in overall computing performance that is 13% higher than the previous P60.
As the company has recently entered the market, this move seems like a coup for them. The new P70 chipset looks like a decent option in the mid-range market. As for the Realme U1, thereβs no official dates been revealed on when it will be coming to the Malaysian market.
