ASUS ZenFone 5z Android 9 Pie update arriving in January 2019
ASUS maintains their devices very well, with devices as old as the ZenFone 3 series still receiving updates. But speed of delivering the updates is not something they are known for. In fact, even their flagship ASUS ZenFone 5z will receive the latest Android 9 Pie update a tad late.
The ASUS ZenFone 5z’s Android 9 Pie update is scheduled for a late January 2019 release, which is actually pretty tardy when compared to other flagships in the market. The new update should bring most of Android 9 Pie’s niceties as well as ASUS’ tweaks to further enhance things. Hopefully that includes a better gesture navigation system, because the current one looks absolutely premature.
With the Android 9 Pie update for the ASUS ZenFone 5z so far away, one can only imagine how much longer will users of more affordable models need to wait. I hope they don’t have to wait until Android Q is released to get Android 9 Pie…
