Telltale Games Give Statement on The Walking Dead

Last week’s layoffs and inevitable closure of Telltale Games was heartbreaking for a variety of different reasons, one of which being that the studio likely wouldn’t be able to finish the currently ongoing series The Walking Dead: The Final Season according to multiple reports including that of Melissa Hutchison, Clementine’s own voice actress.

Now, we have an official statement by Telltale Games which states that The Walking Dead: The Final Season may end up reaching its conclusion after all. It was mentioned that in light of the studio’s imminent closure, multiple partners have now approached the company about trying to help them reach the finish line with The Walking Dead. While there is nothing further to announce right now, they said they hope to release episodes three and four “in some form.”

By no means should you get your hopes up just yet that The Walking Dead’s final two episodes will end up releasing, but it’s the first piece of positive news that there has been in this saga over the past few days. Telltale Games ended the statement by saying that they’ll have more answers soon. All we can do now is continue hoping for the best.

The second episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead Final Season will be available later today for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
