Thereβs More to the Nintendo Switch 6.0.0 Firmware Than Just the Online Service

While the main highlight of the latest 6.0.0 firmware for the Nintendo Switch isΒ the online service, there is certainly more to this update than youβve expected.
Your Nintendo Switch console was originally designated the βactiveΒ console,β but now itβs your βprimary consoleβ. What difference does it make? Well, now can now play your games on other βnon-primary consoles.β
What that means is that you can log into your Nintendo Account on someone elseβs Nintendo Switch console, and through that account, download digital games from your primary console onto this other one. Of course,Β there are restrictions, such as the game can only be played through that same account and will require internet connection.

The games can only be played on one console at a time from the same account. Trying to play the game on two consoles will pause the game on one of them. Either way, this will be handy in a household with multiple Nintendo Switch consoles or if youβre heading to a friendβs place, one who owns one as well, and want to play a specific game.
Other than that, new features from the firmware update include the ability to post up to four pictures from your console at once to social media platforms, as well as new profile icons fromΒ Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
