Halo 5: Guardians May Not Be Coming to PC After All

Halo has always been one of the Xboxβs biggest videogame franchises. The seriesβ history has basically come hand in hand with the Xbox consoleβs own history dating back from 2001.With rumours surfacing on a potential port for the latest entry into the franchise, Halo 5: Guardians, that just might not happen after all.
In a statement toΒ CNET, Microsoft addressed recent rumours that suggestedΒ Halo 5: GuardiansΒ would potentially be coming to PC, which was originally fueled by a listing on Amazon for the title with updated box art that featured the title as an βXbox One Console Exclusive.β
Normally, this type of language is used by Microsoft to note titles that are available on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, as opposed to titles being βXbox One Exclusiveβ, which indicates that the game will only be available on the console.
Naturally, this lead many to believe that the title would be coming to PC down the line, though in response toΒ CNET, a Microsoft spokesperson mentioned βwe do not have plans to launchΒ Halo 5: GuardiansΒ on Windows 10 PC.β
While Halo 5:Β GuardiansΒ may not wind up on PC, the series will at least make its appearance beyond console with the upcomingΒ Halo Infinite, which is the next mainline entry for the series from 343 Industries, and was confirmed to beΒ coming to both Xbox One (or potentially the next Xbox console) and PC during its reveal at E3 2018.
Halo 5: GuardiansΒ is available now exclusively for the Xbox One.
