Jointly developed by The Pokémon Company, Game Freak, and Omega Force, Pokémon Pokopia is the first sandbox-style slow-life game in the Pokémon series, and introduces a new gameplay structure that focuses on building and exploration within a persistent world populated by Pokémon. In the game, players take on the role of a Ditto transformed into a human character and work to restore a desolate world by gathering resources, crafting tools and interacting with Pokémon.

Players can perform actions like collecting materials such as wood and stone, harvesting berries and shaping the surrounding landscape to build a personalized environment. The game also features an in-game clock that synchronizes with real-world time, allowing weather conditions and environmental changes to evolve throughout the day; as such, players can also encounter different Pokémon depending on time and weather conditions.

Pokémon Pokopia is now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 as both a physical and digital release (at a rather eye-watering price of $69.99); the game supports single-player gameplay with optional local or online connectivity for up to four players.
