Anker has introduced two new models for its smart display charging lineup in Malaysia, which includes the Anker Prime Smart Display Charger 160W (A2687) and Anker Nano Smart Display Charger 100W (A121B). As the model name implies, both features onboard displays to show charging status and various metrics.
Anker Smart Display Charging Series
First up, the Anker Prime Smart Display Charger 160W is equipped with three USB-C ports located at the bottom, while the front features a square touchscreen display with a button below for Bluetooth pairing, for setting up custom power distribution via its companion app, as well as applying firmware updates. Weβve come to the point where even USB-C chargers need firmware updates now?
By default, each port can deliver up to 140W on its own, though this is split into 70W+70W max when two devices are connected. If all three are in use, the third port delivers an additional 20W of power to max out this chargerβs power budget. Still, the charger is capable of automatically load-balance via PowerIQ 5.0 technology, based on each deviceβs power demands. The company touts the charger being 43% smaller than Appleβs 140W MacBook chargers, and is barely larger than an AirPods case at 65x52mm (excluding the socket plug section, where our Type G standard is quite bulky).
Meanwhile, the Anker Nano Smart Display Charger 100W is claimed to provide stable 100W output across its ports βafter 50 minutes of continuous use,β without causing the output to drop. Like the aforementioned 160W charger, it can load-balance between high-power and low-power devices (up to 95W+5W), and includes a display for monitoring charging activity and temperature. There are two USB-C ports (up to 100W each) and a single USB-A port (up to 33W) onboard.
The Anker Prime Smart Display Charger 160W is priced at RM489, while the Anker Nano Smart Display Charger 100W is priced at RM229. Both are now available through selected retailers and the companyβs official online stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.
Pokdepinion: Pretty cheap to get a 100W charger these days.
