Sony has announced the launch of two new wireless turntables, the PS-LX3BT and PS-LX5BT, designed to suit both βfirst-time vinyl listenersβ and audiophiles. As an audio storage medium, vinyl has regained popularity in recent years, as renowned artists started to release limited-release vinyl that functions as a collectible on top of the unique audio characteristics they provide.

The PS-LX3BT and PS-LX5BT support 33β and 45 RPM records in 7-inch and 12-inch formats, and include a USB output with three-level gain levels for converting vinyl recordings into digital files. Both turntables feature fully automatic one-button playback and wireless connectivity, allowing users to listen to vinyl records through compatible wireless speakers or headphones, in addition to traditional wired connections. They also comes equipped with an aluminum platter and a pre-installed cartridge, while a transparent dust cover provides stable playback and protection.

Positioned as an entry-level model, the PS-LX3BT is designed for users starting their vinyl listening experience or those seeking a simple setup for daily use. Simply put the vinyl on, and itβs ready to play right away, no need to cue the arm of lift it to begin playback; it comes included with an attached audio cable and internal phono equalizer that delivers βwarm analogue sound with smooth trackingβ.

The PS-LX5BT serves as an upgrade for entry-level vinyl listeners, with its rigid one-piece chassis, aluminum tonearm, rubber mat and circuit design all focusing on reducing the vibration and βpreserve audio purity.β Itβs also got a βhigh-grade cartridgeβ that delivers βrich sound with a wide soundstage,β while a gold-plated audio jack delivers high-quality audio to wired audio outputs.
Sony says both the PS-LX3BT and PS-LX5BT wireless turntables will be available in Malaysia from 6 April 2026, set to be priced at RM1,099 and RM1,499 respectively.
