So apparently the CEO of Slightly Mad Studios, a British video game developer whoβs responsible for the ever popular racing simulator game Project CARS and its sequel, Project CARS 2 (which was just released today on Steam and on PlayStation 4 and XBOX ONE systems) recently teased a potential Fast & Furious tie-in game is in the works.

In a recent Project CARS 2 stream by Australian YouTuberΒ SpotTheOzzie, the studioβs CEO, Ian Bell unexpectedly dropped by to partake in a long and open chat with SpotTheOzzie regarding their much anticipated sequel Project CARS 2 as well some of Slightly Mad Studiosβ upcoming developments. Check out the actual stream below for the full talk (itβs several hours long though so be warned!).
Not sure whether this was done intentionally or not but during Bellβs open chat with SpotTheOzzie he provided all who watched the video with a little tease on a particular project they are working on.
Guess what the latest Need for Speed game is doing, and have a think about which Hollywood film theyβre copying βΒ And then I can tell you we have a six year deal with that major Hollywood company thatβll beat what Need for Speed is doing. For the next six years.
Itβs a pretty vague tease I admit. Based on that statement alone, they could be working on any movie tie-in racing game which isnβt necessarily a Fast & Furious title. For all you know they could be making a dark, gritty and balls to the walls interpretation of a Speed Race (actually now that Iβve written that down I actually wouldnβt mind a dark, gritty and balls to the walls version of Speed Racer). He did mention that they canβt really say much publicly regarding the project for maybe another two or three weeks.
However, Bell did add a sly little stinger that pretty much confirms that their next project is indeed a Fast 7 Furious tie-in.
If you look at me, Iβm a bald guy and I work out a bit βΒ So thatβs a clue.

Slightly Mad Studios isnβt a stranger to the Fast & Furious style story-centric racing games as they were also the developers for two of EAβs previous Need for Speed titles (Need for Speed: Shift and Shift 2: Unleashed).
Slightly Mad Studiosβ latest game, Project CARS 2 is available right now on Steam, PS4 and XBOX ONE.

Pokdepinion: Iβm really curious to see Slightly Mad Studiosβ take on a Fast & Furious game. Imagine a Fast & Furious game with Project CARS beautiful graphics coupled with Dom Torettoβs adventures and youβve got a potential recipe for success.
