COLORFUL has introduced another new motherboard, this time in the form of iGame X870E Vulcan OC; like its name suggests, this new model is designed primarily for overclockers. As a matter of fact, this motherboard has recently achieved a 7335.48MHz overclock on the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor during pre-launch testing.

Being a high-end ATX motherboard, the iGame X870E Vulcan OC features fin-array heatsinks and a full-coverage backplate to keep the thermals of its 18+2+2 phase (110A per stage) VRM in check. On the right side where you find only two RAM slots instead of four, thereβs an LCD display for system monitoring and visuals, and the 10-layer PCB provides the signal integrity for various components, which is important for overclocking.

Regarding its memory overclocking capabilities, this motherboard can support up to 10,400 MT/s β though this is applicable to Ryzen 8000 series processors which uses monolithic silicon that doesnβt need to deal with Infinity Fabricβs limitations. For Ryzen 9000 series processors, COLORFUL claims this motherboard can handle 8,600 MT/s or above. In terms of expansion, thereβs one PCIe 5.0 x16 for GPUs and another PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, while storage includes three PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, plus another two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots.

Other things you can find on this motherboard include onboard controls for quick reset and overclocking adjustments, dual-BIOS switch, debug LED display, external base clock adjustment, 5GbE LAN, and integrated Wi-Fi 7; for its BIOS, COLORFUL says itβs got dedicated βX3D AI Turboβ mode for AMDβs 3D V-Cache processors. Like its GPUs, thereβs a push button located on the rear I/O that automatically overclocks the processor without the need to access BIOS settings.
Pokdepinion: Pretty clean looking, actually.
