Sony dropped a new product announcement today revealing the LinkBuds Clip (WF-LC900) open-ear, clip-style earbuds. This is a slightly different approach of open-ear designs that uses C-shape form factor to secure itself on a user’s ears, without the discomfort some may experience with intrusion-style designs.

The LinkBuds Clip’s main body and upper band is said to β€œprovide a wide fitting range”, where optional fitting cushions is also included to provide a more secure fit for workout sessions. Audio-wise, it features three listening modes, which includes standard, Voice Boost, and Sound Leakage Reduction mode, all pretty self-explanatory. For calls, the earbuds use bone conduction sensor for voice capture and AI-based noise reduction to maintain voice clarity in different environments.

Like many of its personal audio products, Sony gives this pair of earbuds its usual set of proprietary audio technologies like DSEE and 360 Reality Audio, while it also supports Bluetooth multipoint connection, and a 10-band equalizer accessible via Sony’s Sound Connect companion app. Battery life is rated up to 37 hours with charging case, with a 3-minute quick charging capable of lasting one hour of use; the earbuds also carry an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

The Sony LinkBuds Clip is available in Black, Green, Lavender, and Greige color options (plus optional case covers), now available in Malaysia with a recommended retail price of RM899. Early-bird buyers will be gifted a free Jisulife Pro 1 handheld fan, in limited quantities.
