We just mentioned ROSΓ‰ and Bruno Mars’ single β€œAPT.” as the most popular song of 2025, but this song didn’t just snatch one particular global ranking either – it also leads under Top 100 in Shazam, Global Radio, and Lyrics lists, while maintaining second place in the Sing category. Additional entries in the Global Top 100 include β€œluther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, β€œDie With A Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, β€œNot Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar, and β€œBIRDS OF A FEATHER” by Billie Eilish.

The 2025 charts highlight strong showings from emerging and established artists. Gracie Abrams and Alex Warren make their first year-end Top 10 appearances, while Morgan Wallen records 12 entries in the Top 100. Tyler, The Creator, Apple Music’s 2025 Artist of the Year, appears on the year-end chart with β€œSticky.” Kendrick Lamar and SZA both achieve multiple placements, including collaborative tracks such as β€œluther” and β€œ30 For 30.”

Several songs gained traction through radio and virality, including Lola Young’s β€œMessy,” which ranks No. 2 on Shazam and No. 3 on Global Radio. Older releases also resurfaced through renewed listener interest, such as Gotye’s β€œSomebody That I Used to Know” and the Goo Goo Dolls’ β€œIris.” KPop Demon Hunters – another 2025 smash hit in the form of a Hallyu-inspired animated movie – has its β€œGolden” secured positions across the Lyrics and Sing charts and maintained a lengthy streak atop the Daily Top 100 earlier in the year.

Global ranking aside, how does Malaysia’s charts look like? According to Apple Music, our Top 10 is, unsurprisingly, led by β€œAPT.”, followed by Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ β€œDie With A Smile,” Billie Eilish’s β€œWILDFLOWER” and β€œBIRDS OF A FEATHER,” and Tenxi, Jemsii, and Naykilla’s β€œGaram & Madu (Sakit Dadaku).” The national list further includes further entries from Kendrick Lamar & SZA (luther), the KPop Demon Hunters ensemble (Golden), Fourtwnty (Mangu feat. Charita Utami), Jennie (like JENNIE), and Nadeera (Bukan Lagi Kita).
