Monster Hunter World-themed PS4 Pro Unveiled
Following the release date announcement at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, the folks over at Capcom unveiled the limited “Rathalos Edition” PS4 Pro. To be more precise, the actual name is “Liolaeus Edition,” but Liolaeus is Rathalos’ Japanese name.
The console is a CUH-7100 series PS4 Pro with a 1TB hard disk drive, retailing in Japan on December 7th (which happens to be my birthday, just saying), just in time to take the holiday season by storm. Pre-orders will be available starting September 20th at noon Japan time.
If you’re wondering, this means that the console will launch before the game does on January 26th. It’s not unlikely that Sony wanted to get it out in time for the Holiday shopping season. That being said, the bundle does include a download code for the game, which will unlock at midnight on release day.
There’s no word yet on a release of the Monster Hunter World PS4 Pro variant outside of Japan. It’s not announced for the Western audience yet and it’s not announced for us in the Asia region but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not coming. For now, we just have to play the waiting game.

Pokdepinion: That is one hell of a beautiful variant of Sony’s current console. The Monster Hunter World PS4 Pro console is something I definitely want to have. Whether I can afford or not is a different story but if I had the money and it’s not being released here, I wouldn’t mind shipping it all the way from Japan.
