Sonyβs Tokyo Game Show Press Con Announced
Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia has announced that their press conference will be held just before Tokyo Game Show. The conference will start at 4PM (Japan Time) on September 19th, which means that it will be happening at 7AM in Malaysia on the same day.
At the moment, the contents of the briefing have not been announced just yet, besides the usualΒ mentionΒ of the fact that it will showcase the strategy from the PlayStation Team for the future.
Of course, this doesnβt mean that weβre in for a boring talk show about numbers and sales. Thatβs just what they say every year and the βstrategyβ mention is not very descriptive of the real briefing. The structure is very similar to E3, with a lot of announcement of Japanese PlayStation games and trailers.
So yes, if you were to think of Tokyo Game Show as the Japanese-equivalent of E3, youβd be right. We canβt be sure what kind of announcement they will make but weβre pretty sure something major will pop-up for the PlayStation. Hopefully nothing to do with the successor to the PlayStation 4 as itβs still pretty early.
Itβs expected that Sony Interactive Entertainment will provide live audio interpretation during the conference, which has been known to be quite easy to follow. To watch the livestream, all you have to do is just click on that video on the top of this post.
