HoYoverse Announces Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6 Update, “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age”

HoYoverse has revealed that the Version 2.6 update of Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age,” will be available on October 23. This update introduces players to Penacony’s Paperfold University as it begins a new semester and marks its anniversary celebrations.

As the Xianzhou arc concludes, players will return to Penacony and explore Paperfold University, a renowned cosmic institution buzzing with academic and social activities. The Astral Express crew is invited to participate in the university’s exclusive seminar, providing the Trailblazers with opportunities to engage in academic life and form new relationships. The Version 2.6 Trailblaze Continuance mission, Banana Outrage: Battles Without Ninja and Humanity, places players in the role of an auditing student at the university.

A key addition to the game is Rappa, a new 5-star character. As a Galaxy Ranger with a ninja theme, Rappa blends combat with the art of “ninjutsu,” using ninja mantras and seals in battle; her abilities focus on dealing damage to groups of enemies and weakening their defenses.

Players will also have the chance to manage a band in the “Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription” event, working alongside Rappa during the Dreamlight Anniversary music party. Returning characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine will be featured in the Version 2.6 warp event as well.

Additionally, Version 2.6 introduces the third Simulated Universe DLC, expanding the content with the “Unknowable Domain.” This new chapter follows the events of Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears. Players will collect Scepters and enhance them with Components, combining them strategically to defeat a final powerful enemy.
