Acer Introduces Brand New Swift 5 and Aspire Laptops

Acer recently launched the new thin and light Acer Swift 5 as well as the Aspire 3 and 5 for the Malaysian market in connection with Acer Day 2022. New Swift 5 and Aspire laptops with 12th Gen Intel Core processors cater to the demands of busy on-the-go executives, students, and families.

The all-new Swift 5 focuses on performance and portability in a clean and modern design with a unibody CNC-machined chassis composed of Aerospace Grade Aluminum.

The Swift 5 features up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 with Intel Iris Xe graphics packed into a sleek 1.2kg and 14.95mm height mist green colour chassis. Furthermore, up to 16GB dual-channel LPDDR5 memory and up to 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage offer users a smooth and fast computing experience.

The new Swift 5 includes a built-in fingerprint scanner on the power button for added security and convenience. The WQXGA touchscreen display is built with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass and has thin bezels allowing for a screen-to-body ratio of 92.22%.

The backlit keyboard on the new Swift 5 has an air intake, which adds to the cooling system with an updated TwinAir dual-fan system with D6 heat pipes. Lastly, the OceanGlass touchpad on the laptop is constructed from ocean-bound plastic debris, creating a glass-like tactile sensation while facilitating multi-finger motions.

The laptop has been validated by Intel Evo to fulfil key experience criteria including quick wake from sleep, 10 hours of real-world battery life, and a 30-minute charge that offers more than 4 hours of battery life.

The new Swift 5 is now available at Acer eStore, official Shopee and Lazada stores, as well as authorised resellers, with prices beginning at RM4,699.

Customers who buy the new Swift 5 before 30 September 2022, will be eligible for a Sleeve Case, Urban Backpack, and RM120 in Touch n’ Go eWallet credit, with an extra RM100 discount available during the ongoing Acer Day roadshow through 7 August 2022.

Acer Aspire 5 and Aspire 3

The 15.6-inch Aspire series has been updated with a 12th Gen Intel Core CPU, 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD, with extra RAM and HDD expansion slots. The Aspire 5 also comes with NVIDIA GeForce MX550 discrete graphics that enhances and accelerates graphics performance.

The USB-Type C connection on the Aspire 5 supports Thunderbolt 4, which allows customers to connect up to two 4K screens for multitasking. The elevating hinge design on both laptops elevates the chassis while tilting the keyboard to an angle for easier typing, greater sound, and increased airflow.

The Aspire 3 starts at RM2,499 in the new willow green colour, while the Aspire 5 starts at RM2,599.

Both variants are now available at Acer eStore, official Shopee and Lazada stores, and authorised resellers.
