New Twitter Label Allows Accounts To Be “Good Bots”

Twitter has recently revealed of a new feature for automated accounts to self-identify as “good bots” on the platform.

As you can see, the label is a bot (duh) and with it, it helps users to differentiate automated from human-run accounts. The feature was launched as an experiment back in September 2021 and it seems that it’s now expanding globally.

All automated accounts will now have the option to add a new label to their account Profile. The label will give people on Twitter additional information about the bot and its purpose to help them decide which accounts to follow, engage with, and trust.

#GoodBots help people apprised of useful, entertaining, and relevant information, ranging from fun emoji mashups to breaking news.
