Ghost Of Tsushima Movie Is In The Works From The Director Of John Wick
In a recent blog post, Sucker Punch Productionsβ Nate Fox has just announced thatΒ Ghost of Tsushima is getting a movie adaptation. The critically acclaimed action-adventure gameβs movie adaptation will be a joint production between Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions and will be helmed by Chad Stahelski, the director of the immensely popular John Wick series starring Keanu Reeves.
βChad Stahelski created something special withΒ John Wick,β said Fox. βHis vision for what could be, backed up by years of experience, combined to create some of the finest action scenes ever created. If anyone could bring to life the razor-sharp tension of Jinβs katana combat, itβs Chad Stahelski.β

He also mentions that Ghost of Tsushima has now sold over 6.5 million copies. The game was also the PS4βs fastest-selling first-party original IP debut with over 2.4 million copies in its first three days. It was also nominated and won numerous awards from many gaming-related awards ceremonies.
Fox along with Jason Connel, his co-director for Ghost of Tsushima was also recently appointed as ambassadors of the real island of Tsushima in Japan. The appointment was in recognition of their efforts in bringing attention to the island, which, according to Tsushimaβs mayor, Hiroki Hitakatsu, even the Japanese donβt really know about.
There is no official release date for the Ghost of Tsushima to look forward to at the moment so weβll just have to wait until further notice. If you havenβt played the game and are interested to do so, you can check out our review of the game first right here.
Pokdepinion: This is huge! Chad Stahelski is an amazing action director so you know the action scenes in the Ghost of Tsushima movie are going to be absolutely awesome. I wonder if Stahelski will bring in Keanu Reeves too? If he does, consider my butt sold. Also, Iβm really hoping the βvideo game movie curseβ wonβt affect this movie.
