Asia Pacific Predator League 2020/21 Will Be An Online-Only Event Set For April
Acer has just announced that the upcoming Asia Pacific Predator League 2020/21 will trudge on despite the current pandemic and will be an online-only event. The competition is set to be held this April 6 to 11.
Asia Pacific Predator League 2020/21 will soldier on online
All of the teams who previously qualified for the Asia PacificΒ Predator League 2020 Grand Finals are eligible to claim their slots for this yearβs tournament. The remaining slots will be filled by other teams invited by Acer. Altogether, these teams will battle head-to-head to take home the coveted APAC Predator League shield.
Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific Regional Operations said that the decision to move the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020/21 to an online-only tournament shows Acerβs commitment to the gaming community. βWith the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we made the decision to move the competition to Spring 2021 for the safety and best interests of the tournamentβs competitors, fans, spectators and staff,β said Hou.
This year, the league has been divided into four sub-tournaments. The teams will be pre-assigned based on their geographical location:
- APAC Predator League 2020/21 Grand Final Dota 2 Asia
- APAC Predator League 2020/21 Grand Final Dota 2 APAC
- APAC Predator League 2020/21 Grand Final PUBG Asia
- APAC Predator League 2020/21 Grand Final PUBG APAC
A sum of USD400,000 (RM1,615,800) is pooled across the competitions of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020/21.
