OnePlus To Work On Smartband Production?
The smartband scene has been going on around for quite some time now. Well now it seems that OnePlus is entering the market with their own according to a rumor which is reported to be from “insider sources”.
OnePlus Smartband to be unveiled?
OnePlus has revealed that they are indeed working on a smartwatch where Pete Lau, the company’s CEO has said that it would probably launch next year in 2021. He didn’t however stated or teased in any way of a smartband to be in production so you might want to take the rumor with a pinch of salt.
Despite that, we wouldn’t be surprised if the company does indeed release a smartband of their own, seeing how their Chinese competitors already offer them such as Xiaomi, HONOR, HUAWEI, and OPPO.
It is said that the smartband from OnePlus would cost around $40 (~RM161) to fight with Xiaomi’s offerings. Again, this is just a rumor for now but we’ll update you should there be more concrete details regarding the matter. Till then, stay tuned to Pokde.net.
Pokdepinion: I’m just surprised that they aren’t in the smartband segment already. Other brands have been in the market for quite some time. Let’s see where this goes.
