Adam went to the extent of calling it a βstandalone productβ. He has said βSo, first, we donβt call it modes. Itβs a separate dedicated production, a big production. We think about it as a standalone productβ.
While there has been a number of videos that showcase the gameβs single-player gameplay, thereβs not much to go around with its online mode. Adam has said that we should hear more news on it (multiplayer) in Q1 2021.
The multiplayer section of the game will feature a microtransaction system where they claim to βprovide users with content to purchase that feels like a fair transaction for their moneyβ. It is said that we can expect the multiplayer feature for the game to be available as early as 2022.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release this 10th of December for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.
