The Pirate Bay is Testing an HD Video Streaming Service

Iβm sure many you out there are familiar with The Pirate Bay. Whether youβve used it personally or youβve read some of the controversial matters related to it, itβs definitely a name that rings a bell. It looks like theyβre gearing up for something big as an HD video streaming service is currently being tested.
The Pirate Bay HD video streaming service is called BayStream, and is currently available to use via internet browsers. It may or may not have an app in the future, due to legal, or rather illegal, circumstances surrounding the platform.
This isnβt the first dive into video streaming as theyβve done something similar in 2016 with the βStream It!β service. Prior to that, there was also Bayfiles in 2011. What makes BayStream different is that you can stream without downloading the content. Itβs worth noting that most of the content is through proxy sites rather than The Pirate Bay itself.
Given the increasing number of video streaming services as of late, with the likes of Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and more, theyβve started to offer original content exclusive to their platform. This is done to reel in more subscribers. Itβs interesting to think that this may be the first βunifiedβ service, albeit one that hinges on legality.
Letβs see if this service will be able to last or if it will be taken down very soon.
