[Computex 2019] PHISON Brings Forth The New Age Of PCIe 4.0 Solutions
With Computex 2019 up and running, PHISON Electronics decided to introduce the worldβs first PCIe 4.0 SSD, PS5016-E16, which is fully aligned with AMD X570 chipset motherboards.
The SSD will bring forth greater performance as well as reduced latency in gaming. With the worldβs first Gen4x4 NVMe SSD controller, you can combine it with the AMD X570 motherboard in creating a storage solution that meets the high bandwidth requirement of 8K HD gaming.
It is the companyβs latest flagship SSD solution and the only PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe SSD controller chip in the consumer market. Additionally, it is based on the 28nm process node and uses PHISONβs 4th Gen LDPC ECC engine.
The PHISON PS5016-E16 is expected to start sampling and will begin mass production from this quarter of the year. PHISON looks to work closely with AMD and motherboard manufacturers in bringing PCIe 4.0 applications and progress next genβs storage solutions.
Pokdepinion: Able to provide stable 8K HD gaming eh? I doubt Iβd be able to afford a rig that fits the criteria in the first place though..
