Samsung Display announced that it has begun full-scale supply of the world’s first 34-inch 360Hz QD-OLED monitor panel featuring a β€œV-Stripe” pixel structure, following the start of mass production in December 2025. The company is currently supplying the panel to seven global monitor manufacturers, including ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE.

The new panel adopts a vertically aligned RGB sub-pixel layout, referred to by Samsung Display as β€œV-Stripe”, replacing the triangular arrangement used in earlier QD-OLED panels. Similar to LG’s new RGB Stripe OLED, this structure improves character edge definition and text clarity, a problem which previously plagued various OLED panels – making the panel more suitable for tasks such as document work, programming, and content creation in addition to gaming.

In terms of specs, Samsung Display says the new QD-OLED panel features 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio, a 360Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits. It noted that achieving high refresh rates across an ultrawide screen like this one presents challenges in signal timing, heat management, and material durability; by leveraging a top-emitting QD-OLED structure, improving organic material efficiency, and optimizing panel design, it was able to address these challenges while maintaining brightness and refresh rate targets.

The 34-inch V-Stripe QD-OLED monitor panel will be showcased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, where partner brands including ASUS and MSI are expected to introduce monitors based on the new panel. Samsung Display will also present the panel at a private exhibition space during the event.
