Apple has announced 45 finalists for the 2025 App Store Awards, recognising developers across 12 categories for work that demonstrates technical innovation, user experience quality and cultural relevance. The awards highlight apps and games that enable users to streamline daily tasks, enhance productivity and explore new forms of creativity. Winners will be selected from this group and announced in the coming weeks.

In the iPhone App of the Year category, BandLab, LADDER and Tiimo were selected for tools that support everyday workflows through music creation, strength training guidance and task organization. Finalists for iPhone Game of the Year include Capybara Go!, PokΓ©mon TCG Pocket and Thronefall, which were recognized for accessible gameplay and broad audience appeal.




For iPads, Detail, Graintouch and Structured were named finalists for the App of the Year category, for contributions to content creation, visual arts and schedule management; DREDGE, Infinity Nikki and Prince of Persia Lost Crown were shortlisted under Game of the Year for narrative-driven and visually distinctive experiences. MacOSβs equivalent finalists include Acorn, Essayist and Under My Roof for apps, while Assassinβs Creed Shadows, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition and Neva are nominated under games category.


For Apple Vision Pro App of the Year, Camo Studio, D-Day: The Camera Soldier and Explore POV were recognized for immersive visual experiences designed for spatial computing, while Fishing Haven, Gears & Goo and Porta Nubi were named finalists for Apple Vision Pro Game of the Year for combining spatial interaction with narrative or strategic gameplay.



GO Club, Pro Camera by Moment and Strava were named Apple Watch App of the Year finalists for offering activity insights, camera controls and performance tracking directly from the wrist, while HBO Max, PBS KIDS Video and Super Farming Boy 4K were listed as finalists for Apple TV App of the Year for entertainment and family-focused content. In the Apple Arcade category, Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE, PGA TOUR Pro Golf and WHAT THE CLASH? were chosen for delivering a range of gameplay styles from casual challenges to technical sports simulation.

Apple also named 12 βCultural Impactβ finalists, including Art of Fauna, A Space for the Unbound, Be My Eyes, Chants of Sennaar, despelote, Focus Friend, Is This Seat Taken?, Retro, StoryGraph, Venba, Whoscall and Yuka β these apps and games were recognized as they βfostered greater understanding and gave users more ways to interact with their communitiesβ.
