Sony Malaysia has announced the availability of a special run of LinkBuds Fit wireless earbuds in collaboration with virtual artist Hatsune Miku. Only 50 units are available and you have only one way of ordering it – by physically visiting the Sony Store in BBCC Lalaport located in Kuala Lumpur.

Internally, the LinkBuds Fit features similar hardware as the flagship WF-1000XM5 earbuds, so audio performance should be equally top-notch. What splits these two models apart is the former’s external design that enables a more snug fit on the wearer with ‘Air Fitting Supporters’, and Sony also touts its noise cancellation and transparency mode capabilities.
Technically speaking, the limited-edition aspect of this Hatsune Miku tie-in doesn’t involve the earbuds themselves; these 50 units of LinkBuds Fit are exactly the same as the ones you buy as standard units. Instead, what you get is two Hatsune Miku-themed items alongside the earbuds, and they include a special acrylic stand, and digital figures of the vocaloid star dubbed “Holomodel”, both illustrated by artist Ogipote.
If you’re contemplating on buying one, make sure to decide fast – these limited-edition items are now available, each with a retail price of RM999. While the exclusive items are the same in all 50 units, you can pick the colors of the earbuds in three options, including black, white, or green. In case you didn’t know, Hatsune Miku also made appearances in PC peripherals not too long ago as well.
