Is it a Radeon? Is it a GeForce? No, itβs the ASUS TUF Radeon GeForce RTX 9070 XT. One unfortunate Reddit user βFantastic-Ad8410β (or fortunate, if youβre the βglass half fullβ kind of person) has ended up receiving this mishmash of a GPU with the Radeon section occupying the backplate, along with the GeForce-branded shroud.
Yes, It Is Still An TUF RX 9070 XT

In case you wonder what this card actually is, itβs the Radeon RX 9070 XT as far as the silicon and PCB are concerned. Coolers and shrouds are only installed later in the manufacturing process, and it looks like whoever is handling ASUSβs GPU manufacturing has ended up making this switcheroo with a mechanically-compatible GeForce-branded shroud installed onto a Radeon-powered card.
The story of this GPU originated from this user finding some issues on the original card they purchased, and subsequently went to Micro Center (Americaβs PC retailer) to exchange for a new one. βYou canβt make this up,β proclaims the user, as they unboxed the newly-exchanged GPU to find this oddball combination of branding from two GPU makers.

So where did the original Radeon-branded shroud end up, you may ask β funnily enough, another Reddit user βBlood-Wolfeβ reported a month ago their TUF RTX 5070 Ti GPU comes the Radeon shroud, though this user in particular is seemingly a lot less amused by this mishap. Perhaps both GPUs are the only units in the world with swapped shrouds, and it honestly couldnβt get any rarer than this (assuming the factory workers donβt repeat the mistakes).
Pokdepinion: Like the Radeon card owner says, βabsolute meme of a cardβ indeed.
