Lunar New Year is upon us and for this occasion, SteelSeries is unveiling a new Arctis Nova 7 Dragon Edition with dragon-inspired designs. This year is the Year of The Dragon, the fifth of twelve Chinese Zodiac animals – and in Chinese culture, the Year of The Dragon usually is the one most looked forward to.

The headset is β€œdesigned by a collective of SteelSeries designers and product managers with Chinese and Taiwanese heritage,” with design features like the dragon on the speaker plate, the Chinese characterΒ  β€œη¦β€ (fortune), dragon scales on the headband, and most importantly – in the red-colored, gold-accented chassis.Β

Cosmetic changes aside, you’ll still be getting the same hardware as the regular Arctis Nova 7. That means 40mm drivers, multiplatform support and simultaneous wireless connections, ClearCast Gen 2 retractable microphone, and 38-hour battery life with fast charging capabilities.

If you need to get one, be fast – there are only 168 units available in Malaysia. Why this number, you may ask? In Chinese (and Cantonese), β€œ168” is pronounced similarly as β€œδΈ€θ·―η™Όβ€, meaning β€œfortune all the way.” It’ll cost RM1,099 apiece when it goes on sale starting February 16, 2024. (By the way, SteelSeries also suggests this as a great gift for your significant other in time for Valentine’s Day, too.)
