Touch βn Go and Shell Malaysia Introduce Cashless Payment with RFID

Touch βn Go Group and Shell Malaysia have officially introduced a new cashless experience that allows consumers to pay for petrol at 88 stations countrywide using the RFID. By the end of the year, the number of Shell stations offering this new cashless fueling experience is likely to more than double.
Customers can now pay at the stations without having to use an app on their phones or engage with a point-of-sale system since payment is made via Touch βn Go eWallet connected to the customersβ RFID. Shell has also integrated the RFID with their loyalty partner BonusLink, allowing consumers to quickly earn loyalty points with every gasoline purchase.
How to use the RFID at Shell Gas Stations?

- Customers must have a Touch βn Go RFID linked to their Touch βn Go eWallet account.
- Touch βn Go eWallet requires a one-time registration and activation.
- Customers only need to park their vehicles at the RFID-designated fueling bays after successful activation.
- Vehicles are identified in seconds, and money is automatically deducted from clientsβ Touch nβ Go eWallets, allowing them to proceed with refuelling their car.
- Any unused funds will be reimbursed to consumersβ Touch βn Go eWallet accounts instantly.
The companies will award the first 25,000 consumers who purchase petrol at the stations using Touch βn Go RFID from 10 August to 16 September 2022.
To obtain an RM10 reward, they only need to spend a minimum of RM50 on their first Touch βn Go RFID transaction at any Shell station. Customers who are eligible for this rebate must be first-time users of this feature.
